Can a woman, wearing a covering, work in a store selling alcohol?

Question:

What about women who wear covering among the regular population? Is it a sin to let the woman who wears a covering to work in a store where they sell beer or things of the sort? I need to know if I am sinning if I do not wear a covering. It is hard to understand.

Answer:

"But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved. ... Judge among yourselves. Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?" (I Corinthians 11:5, 13).

The only discussion of wearing a covering is found in I Corinthians 11:1-16 and the context is clear that it is dealing with times of praying and prophesying. There is no passage requiring women to wear a covering at all times.

Whether it is right to work in a store where products are being sold for sinful use, such as alcohol for people to drink and possibly get drunk, is completely independent of whether a woman chooses to wear a head covering. For the latter you should consider this passage, "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them" (Romans 1:28-32).
