You shouldn’t mention names or say why groups are wrong

Question:

I was doing a study and happened upon your web site. I read a few of your articles and also checked out your Facebook page. I figured it would be more appropriate to email me you than to post on your Facebook my concerns on your Facebook.

I agree you do have some interesting topics but there seems to be a lack of knowledge of history and knowledge about Jewish culture. I don't want to bash you in any way, but I do feel I owe you an explanation of why I won't be reading more of your topics. I do not know you from anywhere.

I must say you did an awesome job on your website though. Very beautifully done. Hence my response I do not know why I am writing you this yet. Usually, I just keep moving on because of the volume of blatant errors of the truth and what the "Christian" call truth.

I must say I do agree with you in part about the Seventh Day Adventist. But I strongly disagree with you about how you approached it. It seems like there is some unresolved anger there. I don't know if you were a part of them at one time and left or if you had some bad contact with them. But bashing them really gets nowhere and just passes unresolved issues unto the third and fourth generation. But in the way the response was you fall into the same perdition that they are. I have studied them and though they have truths there are ways that they fall into error.

If you are as much as a Bible believer as you would say you never have to mention a group and degrade them in such a way. Usually, when someone tries to tear another one down it puts a bad taste in the mouths of those that are seeking. I would always stick to what the Bible says and you don't have to defend it, God will. Yes, there will be people in life who disagree with you and even to the point of trying to take our lives. But we should never stoop to the level that they are on. If we preach the Bible truths and understand it, God will defend it and I can personally testify to that. I have seen God work in such stunning ways that I never had to say a word, all I had to do was follow His commandments.

One thing I also find very interesting is how the "Bible believers" study 1/8th of the Bible and claim they have the truth.

I just feel I owe you a response as to why I won't be reading more. After writing this I still do not know why I wrote this. Usually, I stay far far away from this. But I feel the probing of God to tell you. I do hope and pray this does not irate you. It is not my intent to do so but merely to help you in the study of God's most awesome teachings. I do however encourage you to study history and Jewish culture it would explain why Jesus used spit to heal the blind man's eyes, why was the veil of the temple rent in two, why did Jesus walk on water, why was there a crown of thorns placed on Jesus' head when in all of Roman history that was never done but why was it done to Jesus. I know you despise the Old Testament, but I encourage you to open it will give you answers -- real answers.

Answer:

It is clear that you just sampled the website lightly if you read much at all because it should not take you long to realize that I don't despise the Old Testament and that I study the entire Bible heavily. The mere number of quotes from the Old Testament should have convinced you of that, let alone the studies on GenesisRuthPsalmsEcclesiastesSong of Solomon, or Ezekiel. Or perhaps the sermon series on the books of the Bible that goes from Genesis to Revelation. No, the more I think about it, the more certain I am that you are just swinging blindly.

But the charge you lay is that a Bible believer would never mention a group by name and point out their faults. Let's see:

  • God did: "Then He said to me: "Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with My words to them. "For you are not sent to a people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, but to the house of Israel, "not to many people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely, had I sent you to them, they would have listened to you. "But the house of Israel will not listen to you, because they will not listen to Me; for all the house of Israel are impudent and hard-hearted. "Behold, I have made your face strong against their faces, and your forehead strong against their foreheads. "Like adamant stone, harder than flint, I have made your forehead; do not be afraid of them, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house"" (Ezekiel 3:4-9).
  • Jesus did: "Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, saying: "The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments. They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, 'Rabbi, Rabbi'" (Matthew 23:1-7).
  • Jesus did: "Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate" (Revelation 2:15).
  • John the Baptist did: "But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?" (Matthew 3:7).
  • Paul did: "This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme" (I Timothy 1:18-20).
  • John did: "I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to have the preeminence among them, does not receive us. Therefore, if I come, I will call to mind his deeds which he does, prating against us with malicious words. And not content with that, he himself does not receive the brethren, and forbids those who wish to, putting them out of the church" (III John 9-10).
  • You did: "I must say I do agree with you in part about the Seventh Day Adventist ... the same perdition that they are. I have studied them and though they have truths there are ways that they fall into error."

"Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you" (Matthew 7:1-2).

I always find it humorous when people do the very thing they complain about. While telling me that I should not talk bad about others, you tell me that I don't read, study, or know the Old Testament or Jewish history. You claim, based on no evidence, that I'm a former Seventh-Day Adventist with unresolved anger issues or had bad experiences with Seventh-Day Adventists (you completely missed your guess). You stated that I'm in perdition. Strange, the only person around here who seems set on bashing people he doesn't know or understand with charges he cannot support seems to be you.

You claim that God is leading you to say, among other things, "I would always stick to what the Bible says and you don't have to defend it, God will." Not only do you fail to prove that I have not stayed with the Scriptures, but you also contradicted God's own words: "Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 3). If you are being led, it isn't by God.

Question:

I appreciate your response. Your answers confirmed what your beliefs are.

Answer:

Good to know the answer was clear. Truth is hard to argue with, isn't it?
