I find your question hard to answer because I don't think in terms of single words. Nor am I naive to think that one size fits all situations. Some of the advice I give couples about to be married is found in Preparation for a Lifetime. Letters that I have written to couples who have recently married are found in Letters of Advice to Newlyweds. But neither is a substitute for custom-tailored advice given because a person knows you and your spouse.
