Could I have gotten my girlfriend pregnant?

Question:

Hi.

I want to ask you an urgent question. I'll get straight to the point: today my girlfriend and I had sex. I didn't put my penis in her vagina, but I ejaculated in my pants and some sperm got into my finger. I wiped it with a cloth, but I didn't wash with water. And then I rubbed her vagina with the same finger. I want to know if that will lead to her pregnancy? And she was in her period. So please enlighten me and respond as soon as you can. I'm depending on your response.

Answer:

Any time you ejaculate, the odds of getting your girlfriend pregnant is never zero. In this case, it might be so low that might as well be zero, but a possibility still exists. It only takes one sperm reaching her egg to cause conception. Wiping semen from your fingers will not completely remove all sperm. While sperm don't last long when exposed to air, I take it that not much time took place. Your sperm can survive up to six days in the uterus if it reached there. If your girlfriend had a short month the possibility of pregnancy exists even if this happened while she was having her blood flow. But still, the odds are just about zero.

But all of this is after the fact and is the wrong question. If you were so worried about pregnancy, why were you two engaged in sexual acts? Didn't anyone explain that using another person for your own sexual pleasure is disrespectful? "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God" (I Corinthians 6:9-10). Though you didn't engage in intercourse, you still were guilty of sin. I don't know if you are trying to live pleasing to God, but if you have that in mind, you aren't going about it the right way. "Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts" (Romans 13:13-14). It is time you got serious about life.
