What if you were forced into believing in witchcraft?

Question:

I know you say about witchcraft, that the only way you're a victim is if you allow it, but what if you're forced into it and tortured until you believe in it? What is a person supposed to do then? I have so many dreams of people mentioning programming, satanic rituals, etc.

Answer:

There is a difference between forced compliance or even acceptance and actual belief.

However, even a person who had at one time completely believed in witchcraft can change his position. Such happened in Ephesus. When faced with evidence that demons fear Christ, "This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed" (Acts 19:17-20). Therefore, it doesn't matter what you used to accept. The only important question is whether you will accept Jesus as your Lord instead. See A Savior Who Cares.
