What do you think about Christianity and heavy metal music?

What do you think about Christianity and heavy metal music? As an avid listener of the genre and a Christian, I'm always plagued with people telling me that it's wrong and satanic. Since I'm the one who actually listens to the genre, I find that those people aren't very educated on the matter. From a ministerial point of view, what do you believe?
Answer:
Heavy metal music can be hard on the ears, but what makes a song right or wrong morally is what that song advocates in its words. I suspect that many don't trust heavy metal because they don't understand what is being said and therefore assume it is about unrighteous things.
