Thanks for the article on the Origin of the King James Version

I read the article about the controversy of musical instruments. The article mentioned the Richmond Hills Church of Christ and I decided to google that church. My search led me to a nonsensical conspiracy site about how the new world order plans to take over the church via liberal church planters. After sifting through the nonsense, I came across several articles on that site about how the King James Version of the Bible is the only truly inspired Bible and all other translations are inspired by satan. So, I went to your website and found an article written by Ethan Longhenry, The Origin of the King James Version that educated me.

I was surprised to learn that the 1611 version of the KJV included the extra books found in the Catholic Bible and found it amusing that a later translation omitted "not" from "thou shall not commit adultery". And that there were 24,000 versions of the KJV. It's amazing the KJV only people fail to realize that the KJV was created for mostly political purposes and that other English Bibles existed before the KJV., i.e. Coverdale, Tyndale, etc. I don't know if King James himself was religious or not, but he was the head of the unbiblical Church of England, which was created because King Henry wanted to divorce his wife and marry his mistress.

Having said that, I would like to borrow a KJV and read a small book, like Philemon, to see if I can comprehend the English language of the 17th and 18th centuries adequately.
