Standing for the Right

by Zeke Flores

It can be intimidating to stand for what's right. It's even harder when you stand alone.

Isaiah tells us that in his day, God's true followers were an ever-decreasing minority. Oppression, selfishness, and flagrant sin were everywhere. Few were the ones who stood by the godly principles God provided in His Law. But while they were few, they were more than one.

Christians find themselves in the same boat. As in Isaiah's day, sin and wickedness are rampant and getting more popular by the day.

But still, we stand. We stand knowing that while we feel lonely, we're never alone. And even if all but a very few desert the stand for truth and right, there's always One who stands with us. With Him, we're never alone.

"Now in that day the remnant of Israel ... will truly rely on Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel" (Isaiah 10:20).
