It is hard to find a Christian to date
Question:
To Whom It May Concern,
I am a 27-year-old male, never married, and have no children. I’m single and am a member of a local church of Christ. My question is regarding relationships. There are no opportunities for me to date where I am a member. I want to wait on the Lord patiently and faithfully, but I also know He expects us to put forth effort in our lives. I don’t want to seem desperate to get married, but I also want to put myself out there. I’ve visited several congregations further away from me and have been blessed to make connections with other Christians my age. But nothing has come of it. I pray about it, go to as many services and events as possible, visit other congregations, and work on myself. I do believe the Lord will bless me with a godly spouse eventually, but I can’t help but feel like time and hope are running out.
Any guidance or spiritual wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
Answer:
I agree that it is becoming increasingly difficult to find Christians to date. I have long considered creating a site restricted to single members of the church, but the logistics and estimated time needed to manage it are daunting.
There are a few sites that you can try. Please keep in mind that not everyone claiming to be a Christian is a Christian. See "Meeting Other Members of the Church of Christ."
