Is any one church or religion the proper way to believe?

Question:

This is not a question, but great big praise and thank you for such wonderful resources and images!  This is exactly what I've been trying desperately to locate image-wise for weeks!  Thank you so much for sharing your collection of images, sermons, answers, studies, articles, notes, resources, and church information, and for making it all free!  It's enough to make me think seriously about visiting your church someday, and if I wasn't already comfortable in the church to which I belong, I would check yours out very seriously! I have bookmarked your site and intend to visit it often, even daily!  This is much better than playing Facebook!

I ended up accepting Christ into my life just after graduation from high school, but have never, and do not even now, even though I just joined a church, believe that any one church or religion is the proper way to believe. I don't even think there is one, yet. Must study up on that, but first thing's first, and that's learning to control my anger of each and every one of my hard-earned years on earth, and learn to accept that most folks really are dumb. I see this theme repeated over and over in the Bible, ie. the Jewish nation in the wilderness punished to 40 years in the desert for not believing they could conquer the peoples already inhabiting the promised land!

Well, here I am telling you my life story!  I'm sure I will be in touch and continue my banter in the future.  Thanks for all of everything!

Answer:

I am happy that you've found the site so useful and I do hope you do visit one day. In regards to whether there is only one proper church or way to believe, I'll let Paul speak on that matter:

"I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all" (Ephesians 4:1-6).

"I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ" (Galatians 1:6-10).

"Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment" (I Corinthians 1:10).
