I think sex before marriage is great and the Bible is an invented story. What are your opinions?

Question:

Hello,

I appreciate many of the subjects discussed on your website, but I must share my opinion that I think it is absurd to live your life that way. Sex before marriage is great.

I believe the Bible is an invented story, designed to communicate important values in life so that each individual can access some basic guidelines to how to live a decent life. Taking the Bible literally seems quite foolish to me. Just as taking Plato's allegory of the cave literally would mean missing the whole point he tried to make. What are your opinions on that?

Answer:

"The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice" (Proverbs 12:15).

"The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good" (Psalms 14:1).

"How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts! The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. But you, O LORD, are exalted forever" (Psalms 92:5-8).

"A fool has no delight in understanding, but in expressing his own heart" (Proverbs 18:2).

You offered your opinion, but opinions do not prove a point. I won't offer my opinions because they are equally worthless. But God has told you the truth, I sorry that you aren't interested in listening to your Maker at the moment.
