It is easy to claim to believe God when all is going well, but true faith is shown in times of distress. David had the Lord on his side because David followed God with his whole heart. As a result, David felt that he could do anything because the Lord was beside him.

So quit trying to play both sides of the field. Give yourself over wholly to the Lord. Then you will have no fear from the deceptions of Satan. No one has any more control over you than what you give them.
