I don’t agree with your answers, but should I wait until I get married to have sex?

Question:

I am a young female, I am over the age of consent but have reservations as to whether I am ready to lose my virginity. I have read some of the questions from confused children concerning relationships and intimacy and don't agree fully with your answers, however, I would like your help and guidance to keep me on the right path. I do follow the Bible and believe that it has an influence on my decisions in life but I do not believe in hell, I believe that death leads to reincarnation and a second chance if not yet worthy to walk through the gates of heaven. I have been in my relationship with my boyfriend for 6 months now. We have spoken about having sexual intercourse and I do see myself being with him for the rest of my life but should I wait till I am married to have sex?

Answer:

I debated about answering this note since you are not being honest. You don't like the biblical answers presented, but you want to ask my help and guidance. You claim to follow the Bible, but then turn around and deny its teachings. Hell is discussed throughout the Bible (see "If I Don't Preach on Hell"). To deny the existence of Hell is a roundabout way of saying you don't believe the Bible or the Lord. Reincarnation is incompatible with the biblical view of life and then death (see "Reincarnation"). That tells me that your claim in following Christ is only on your own terms. You only "follow" Christ the few times you happen to go in the same direction. "Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me"" (Mathew 16:24).

Since you have read the other answers, then you already know what the Bible teaches about fornication. The answer has remained the same since the beginning:

"For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well" (Acts 15:28-29).
