I broke up with my girlfriend because I dreamed she would be unfaithful to me after we marry
Question:
There is a lady I loved. After some time, I told her about my feelings and she agree to marry me, after which I informed my pastor friend about her. He said I can marry her, but I should be careful about her friends as they may influence her to engage in extramarital affairs later in the future. I went further to pray on my own with no revelation, but I continue with the relationship. After two years of courtship, I prayed about our relationship, and I saw a lady dressed as a prostitute telling me that my wife in that dream have engage in extramarital affairs. As a result, I told her that we need to break up without giving any reason for that, but I am not comfortable with it.
Please what should I do?

God doesn't use dreams to communicate with His people today. "God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds" (Hebrews 1:1-2). Even in the era when God used dreams at times, people would use dreams of their own imagination and say that was God speaking to them.
"I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in My name, saying, 'I have dreamed, I have dreamed!' How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart, who try to make My people forget My name by their dreams which everyone tells his neighbor, as their fathers forgot My name for Baal. The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat?" says the LORD. "Is not My word like a fire?" says the LORD, "And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? Therefore behold, I am against the prophets," says the LORD, "who steal My words every one from his neighbor. Behold, I am against the prophets," says the LORD, "who use their tongues and say, 'He says.' Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams," says the LORD, "and tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their recklessness. Yet I did not send them or command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all," says the LORD" (Jeremiah 23:25-32).
Your dream originated from your worries planted in your mind by your friend. Worse, there isn't a reason why you believe she will not remain faithful to you. You are worried about what might be instead of reasoning concerning what exists. "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble" (Matthew 6:34).
