How do I call prayer points?

Question:

Hello Sir,

I will be leading a prayer meeting (small group). The title is "Trusting God", from Psalm 125:1. Please how do I go about it, especially calling the prayer points? I have led prayer meetings in the group in the past, but I want to do this right.

My church, the teenage church, has been undergoing a revival since camp, where we saw some of our people doing wonderful things: casting out demons majorly, a few slaying in the Spirit, and there was an invited guest, and since then many of our teenagers have been baptized in the Spirit and many have done greater things. There has been a change in the general tenor of the church in the awareness of gifts and manifestations.

Answer:

First, there is nothing in the Bible about "prayer points," so I can't answer the question.

Second, there is nothing in the Bible about being slain in the Spirit. Zechariah 13:1-3 said that unclean spirits were removed during the first century (at the time of cleansing by Christ) and that prophecy would also cease then. Paul stated that prophecy would come to an end when the perfect will of God (the Bible) was completed (I Corinthians 13:8-10). In fact, consider what Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'" (Matthew 7:21-23).
