Can a person go to heaven who doesn’t accept God but believes He exists and is good?

Question:

Do you think a person who doesn't accept God but believes He exists can go to heaven if he is a good guy and help others?

Answer:

You are asking if a person partially obeys God, picking which commands he would like to follow while ignoring the rest of what God said, can he be saved?

  • Jesus commanded his disciples: "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:20).
  • "Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city" (Revelation 22:14).
  • Jesus also asked, "But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?" (Luke 6:46).
  • "... when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ" (II Thessalonians 1:7-8).

The truth is that partial obedience is just disobedience in disguise.
