Boys Will Be Boys and Girls Will Be Girls

Scientists at the University of Southern California have concluded, after studying fraternal and identical twins, that many of the differences between boys and girls are genetic and not merely environmental. What this means is that the feminist rhetoric, which insists that there is no psychological difference between males and females, is simply not so. "To ignore a biological contribution to sex-typing is to put on intellectual blinders," said psychologist Jane Wilson at a weekend report at the Western Psychological Association convention at Burlingame, California.

Of course, Christians knew that without having to study twins. The Bible says the woman was made a help "meet” (suitable) for man. That is, she complements him. She is different, not only physically but psychologically. Not inferior — different. Let us not deny or ignore that difference. Let us rejoice in it.
