Consecrated

by Zeke Flores

"You shall consecrate him, therefore, for he offers the food of your God; he shall be holy to you, for I Yahweh, who sanctifies you, am holy" (Leviticus 21:8).

Leviticus 21 focuses on the priests and the standards God set for them. These weren’t rules meant to crush them; they were reminders that those who represent God should reflect His character. The priests weren’t better than anyone else; they were simply called to live in a way that pointed people toward God’s holiness.

We may not be priests in the Levitical sense, but we are called to represent God in our daily lives. People see God through how we speak, how we respond, how we treat others, and how we handle pressure. That’s not meant to intimidate us; it’s meant to remind us that our lives matter.

God doesn’t ask for perfection; He asks for willingness. He sanctifies us. He shapes us. He empowers us to live in a way that honors Him.

Today, think about one area where your life can reflect God’s character a little more clearly. A small shift can make a big difference.
