Your point that God baited Pharaoh is intriguing

Question:

Good Morning,

I am a pastor of a little country church. Our Sunday school lesson is about Moses, Pharaoh, and the Red Sea. I was looking for a graphic, a really good picture to illustrate the route when I found your site.

I also was intrigued by the idea that God led them down the side of the sea to entice Pharaoh to follow, insuring his demise.  I knew and have taught the subject for a number of years, but the "bait"  idea was a new one. I have to admit it just proved to me once again that our wonderful Jehovah God not only sees and knows but also has a sense of humor.  And He shares his humor with us at times.  This was definitely one for me.

My background is that of a military veteran, so military tactics are nothing new to me, but this one was significantly different from my earlier understandings, and I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful insight you gave me into this story.
