Your answer on circumcision and how it relates to baptism and covenants made it clear to me why baptism is necessary for salvation

Question:

Someone asked about the law of circumcision and your answer was so helpful to me, especially in how it relates to covenants between man and God, then and now, with baptism. Now I understand how it can be symbolic of salvation, as the Baptists claim, and be a step in salvation, as the churches of Christ claim. (Understood that it's because Jesus commanded it and it's not a "church of Christ exclusive doctrine"). It is so clear now.

Thank you.

Answer:

I'm glad you found it useful.

Since the churches of Christ follow the Bible and have no external sources for doctrine, there are no teachings that are exclusive to the churches. Different denominations reject or modify different teachings from the Bible, but there is no one teaching that is universally modified.
