Willing to Wait
by Zeke Flores
Jacob works seven years for Rachel, and Genesis 29:20 says they "seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her." It’s a beautiful picture of how love reframes effort. Jacob isn’t counting the cost; he’s focused on the joy set before him.
There’s a spiritual parallel here. When we love God deeply, obedience no longer feels like drudgery. Serving Him becomes less about duty and more about desire. Love lightens the load.
If you’re in a long period of waiting —for healing, direction, restoration, or breakthrough— don’t lose heart. When love and trust steady your heart, the waiting becomes bearable. God is worth the patience.
