Who you choose to marry can reveal your attitude toward righteousness. If you knowingly marry a sinner, then you are knowingly placing temptation before you. After all, Paul warned, "Do not be deceived: 'Bad company corrupts good morals'" (I Corinthians 15:33). This isn't an absolute. There are men who were married to sinful women, such as Hosea, who still managed to live righteously. But such situations are difficult and the odds are that you'll be pulled into sin.

Reaching heaven is difficult enough without adding extra burdens, so marry a woman who will make living righteously easier instead of harder.
