"As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; when shall I come and appear before God?" (Psalms 42:1-2).
There is nothing really mysterious about the selection. When I was redesigning the site many years ago, I looked for a base picture that I thought would represent both the area and what the church was about. We are in the great plains and deer is plentiful in the more wooded areas. I found the picture and it reminded me of Psalms 42, so we've been using it ever since.
