What if a church doesn’t have studies during the week?

Question:

Hi brother,

I hope you are still holding fast to Him. I have just moved to a place where there's a small congregation of about nine members, who don't meet during the week, only on Sundays. I have asked them to meet at least twice a week but to no avail. What is your advice as to how to grow the congregation? I have also talked to other brethren. This congregation needs your help. My fellow brethren and I will appreciate it.

Answer:

Just because a congregation is reluctant to have Bible studies during the week, it does not mean you cannot hold studies in your own home or in other locations. Invite the brethren to join you, but even if they don't come focus on teaching the people around you. As the participants grow, you'll find more brethren becoming interested in the word and desiring to help teach.
