What does the Nazarene church mean by “properly expressed” in regards to sexual intimacy?

Question:

Regarding sexual intimacy between a married couple, what does the Nazarene church mean by the phrase, "properly expressed?"

"...We stand firmly on the belief that the biblical concept of marriage, always between one man and one woman in a committed, lifelong relationship, is the only relationship within which the gift of sexual intimacy is properly expressed."

Answer:

You would have to ask those who wrote the statement what they meant by it. I'm not a member of the Nazarene denomination, nor a defender of its teachings.

However, in this particular quote, they do happen to teach what is found in the Bible. "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge" (Hebrews 13:4). It is only within marriage that is sex is properly expressed between a man and a woman.
