Is it wrong for a preacher to hold the office of minister and his wife belongs to a denomination?

Question:

Greeting my brother. I have a question: Is it wrong for a preacher to hold the office of minister and his wife belongs to a denomination?

Answer:

"Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?" (I Corinthians 9:5).

The word "believing" translates the Greek word adelphe, which means "sister." A preacher has a right to have a wife who is also a sister in Christ. The job of a preacher is hard enough without having a companion who believes differently than him and so would not work with him. If a man is unable to convert his own wife to Christ's true teachings, then he is not yet ready to be a preacher.
