Is it right to pray for God’s judgment on the world?

Question:

With all the sin and mockery and God, is it right to wish or pray for God's judgment on the world? I'm not talking about killing people, I'm just talking about good old-fashioned judgment.

Answer:

"Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just; For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds" (Psalms 7:9).

"Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man; seek out his wickedness until You find none" (Psalms 10:15).

"The LORD tests the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates. Upon the wicked He will rain coals; fire and brimstone and a burning wind shall be the portion of their cup" (Psalms 11:5-6).

"Arise, O LORD, Confront him, cast him down; deliver my life from the wicked with Your sword, with Your hand from men, O LORD, from men of the world who have their portion in this life, and whose belly You fill with Your hidden treasure. They are satisfied with children, and leave the rest of their possession for their babes" (Psalms 17:13-14).

"Do not let me be ashamed, O LORD, for I have called upon You; let the wicked be ashamed; let them be silent in the grave. Let the lying lips be put to silence, which speak insolent things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous" (Psalms 31:17-18).

"Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but he who trusts in the LORD, mercy shall surround him" (Psalms 32:10).

"For the LORD loves justice, and does not forsake His saints; they are preserved forever, but the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off" (Psalms 37:28).

"You therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to punish all the nations; do not be merciful to any wicked transgressors" (Psalms 59:5).

These are just a few examples from the prayers of David.
