I’m tired of this sinful life

Question:

Good morning, sir,

I read a page on your website and I saw your advice to a brother. My sin is worst compared to him. I have had sex with the opposite gender twice and have been masturbating for over six years. My life is a living hell. I don't know who I will confine in, that is why I thought of telling you. I am tired of this sinful life.

Before my mind was at peace, but now I think am the worst sinner on earth. Please, sir, I am willing to fully repent from this sinful act.  All I need in my life is God. No one else, just him, has been there for me always/ I  can't betray his love for sins that He hates so much.

Answer:

Comparing yourself to others is not appropriate. Everyone has sins they struggle with. Some are just more noticeable than others.

Sexual sins, just like any other sin, can be forgiven once you change your life (repent). "For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death. For behold what earnestness this very thing, this godly sorrow, has produced in you: what vindication of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, what avenging of wrong! In everything you demonstrated yourselves to be innocent in the matter" (II Corinthians 7:10-11). When you are ready to change, go to God in prayer and apologize for your sinful decisions in the past. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (I John 1:9).
