I’m afraid if I convert to Christianity I will be killed

Question:

Hello,

I am from Saudi Arabia. I currently go to a college in another country and I am a Muslim. I am thinking about converting to Christianity, however, I am afraid that my parents and my government will kill me if I come back. I read the Bible and I believe in what it says, but I don't know what is the next step for me. I cry every night, and I am feeling so complicated and frustrated. Please tell me what to do. I also have a couple of questions.

Answer:

This is something you will have to decide, whether you believe in Christ strong enough to risk separating yourself from your family and potentially putting your life at risk.

"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to 'set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law'; and 'a man's enemies will be those of his own household.' He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. "He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it" (Matthew 10:32-39).

If you are willing to take a stand with Christ, then I would not delay converting. Nothing would be gained by waiting. Also, I would suggest contacting various free country's governments to see if you can get a visa to remain in the country because of religious persecution.
