I want to do something bad to the people who cost me my job
Question:
Good day,
I have lost my job, and I can't stop thinking about doing something bad to the people who cost me my job. This thing is always on my mind, but I want to move forward, forget about it, and have faith in God that everything happens for reason. This situation is making my life fall apart. Sometimes I feel like God hates me and there is a lot of things going through my head.
Please help.
Answer:
"Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. Therefore "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:17-21).
No one can fix a wrong with additional wrongs. Since you are close to the problem, you can never say that your judgment is unbiased, so taking steps on your own would likely cause further harm. Instead, a Christian is told to let God be the ultimate judge in all matters. He will be unbiased and fair.
Instead of looking to do something bad, do the unexpected, do something particularly nice. The person won't know how to handle it because it would be totally unexpected. And it might just open the door for the relationship to be repaired.
You are better off using your time and energy in finding new employment.
