I don’t know how to handle this situation

Around that time, I didn't think of anything else, so I explained to him what needed to be done, and that was it. I let him stay due to my knowledge.

Since becoming a Christian, you allowed the man you committed fornication with to move into your home, even though the two of you are not married.
