I am in love with a girl at church, but I’m trying to forget about her and I can’t

Question:

Hi.

I am a son of God, and I love Jesus. I need your help. I love a girl in my church. We both love Jesus. I have prayed to God and cry for help to forget about this love, but it is still in my heart. We used to send text messages about God. I would ask her if she still loved God. What I know is if I love this girl, I must not tell, so I feel like I have sin in my heart for loving her. But at the same time, I see her as my wife. I want to do God's will.

Answer:

Since when has God ever said it is wrong to fall in love with someone (assuming that person is available for marriage)? "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth" (I Timothy 4:1-3). "But even if you do marry, you have not sinned;..." (I Corinthians 7:28).
