How do you avoid an abortion and when an abortion takes place, who is guilty of the murder?

Question:

Good afternoon,

I am a member of the Lord's church. I read one of your articles on abortion and taught our brethren over here. It raised a lot of questions. My questions are:

  • Since abortion is a sin, a sister who is pregnant but doesn't want to abort her child and at the same time she doesn't need a child because she is still a student, then what is the remedy to such a situation?
  • If a brother, who impregnated a sister, decides with the sister to go and abort the pregnancy, of the two Christians and the doctor who did the aborting, who committed murder?

Answer:

If a mother is unwilling or unable to care for a child, the child can be put up for adoption so that a family wanting more children can take care of the child.

When David arranged for Uriah's death by having his troops withdraw without telling Uriah, he was charged with murder. "Why have you despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in His sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword; you have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the people of Ammon" (II Samuel 12:9). Indirect murder is still murder. Therefore, all three would be guilty of murder.
