Can I get some advice from you?

Question:

I am dealing with some things in my life and I don't know what to do. Your web site popped up and I read one of the articles which hit my situation precisely. My situation is a little different, but I really don't know where to turn. I am a Christian and have been raised in a wonderful Christian home. I'm aware of the awesome power of God, but I honestly feel too ashamed to go to God with this. I'm feeling rather worthless and I don't know where to go next in my life. This is very difficult and if there is anyone who can listen and give me godly advice, I'm begging for it. Let me know if you can help me.

Thanks so much.

Answer:

I don't know if I will be able to help until I hear what the problem is, but I am certainly willing to listen and give you the best advice I can from the Bible.

Let me say at this time, though, that feelings of worthlessness are just one of Satan's tricks to keep a person immobilized so that he doesn't make a move toward correcting his situation. Humility and shame have their place in making us realize we were wrong and to keep us from being prideful. But to curl up into a ball and remain there is unprofitable.

I hope to hear from you soon.
