Boundaries
by Zeke Flores
"You shall not do what is done in the land of Egypt where you lived, nor ... in the land of Canaan where I am bringing you" (Leviticus 18:3).
Leviticus 18 is full of boundaries.
God was shaping Israel into a people who lived differently from the surrounding nations. Egypt represented their past. Canaan represented the culture they were walking into. God said, “Don’t copy either one. Follow Me.”
We face the same tension. We have a past that tries to pull us back and a culture that tries to shape us as we move forward. God calls us to something better. He doesn’t want imitation; He wants transformation.
Holiness isn’t about being strange; it’s about being aligned with God’s will. It’s choosing His way even when the world pushes another direction.
If you feel pressure to fit in or fall back into old patterns, remember this verse. God didn’t save you to blend in; He saved you to walk with Him.
Choose His path, respect His boundaries. They’re what’s best for you.
