Am I lost because I’m of mixed race?

Question:

Hi Jeffrey,

I could really need your help. I'm really struggling. I believe I am going to hell. I am of mixed race and had an intimate relationship with someone of another race. I have read in the Standard Anointed Bible that this means I am going to hell. As it states in Mark 3:30, he hath mongrelized spirit. I am not sure if this means mixed with Satan or if it is claiming that accusing Jesus of being mixed race or mixing the race yourself condemns you to hell.

Thanks.

Answer:

""Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation" -- because they said, "He has an unclean spirit"" (Mark 3:28-30).

The Greek word akathartos is translated as "unclean." It means "impure (ceremonially, morally (lewd) or especially, (demonic))."

It cannot refer to a mixture of races because the Bible teaches that there is only one race -- mankind. We have different nationalities, but it doesn't make distinctions based on physical traits. All of us descend from the same couple: Adam and Eve. "He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth" (Acts 17:26). The concept of race is an artificial division of mankind based on external variations.

The accusation was that Jesus was able to drive out demons because he had a demon himself. The denial of the miracle was blasphemy (a purposeful slandering of a person's character, knowing that what is being said is a lie). See: Are You Unforgivable?

The only time a person is unforgiven is when they do not repent of the sins they committed. For example, you mentioned that you've been having sex with someone to whom you are not married. If you don't give up such sins, you can't pretend that you will reach heaven. "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God" (I Corinthians 6:9-11).
