What happens to the Neanderthals in the resurrection?
Question:
Hello Brother,
This is a question received from an atheist. Your reply with biblical evidence will help me study this subject further.
"Homo sapiens appeared on earth about two million years ago. In the Bible, there is a brief history of a tribe for around six thousand years. It doesn't record anything about our cousins like Neanderthal man, Denisovans, and many other humanoids. On the day of Resurrection who all are supposed to resurrect?"
Thanks.

This is the type of question the Sadducees asked Jesus in Matthew 22:23-33. They didn't believe in what they were asking about, but thought they could catch Jesus in an inconsistency.
The person assumes evolution is true, yet that hypothesis has never been proven. As time has progressed, the evidence against evolution has become increasingly compelling. Even the dating methods are strongly suspect.
Neanderthals are not considered a variation of humans. See "Neanderthals Are Still Human!" Denisovans are just another variation with DNA related to both modern humans and Neanderthals [Fran Dorey, "The Denisovans," Australian Museum, 20 April 2020].
The Bible teaches that humans were created at the beginning (Matthew 19:4-5). The world only existed a few days before humans were created. If you accept the Bible's teachings that there will be a resurrection, then you must also accept that the world did not come about by evolution.
