Your congregation should get rid of you

Question:

I just found your site and was blown away at the answers that were given to the various people.  I don't know who you are that has decided to partake in the marriage advice department but I feel this site is shocking.  The inaccuracies in the advice given to these poor people astound me and I would hope your congregation would get rid of such a mean-spirited minister.  As I saw in the answer section where people said they would pray for you, I feel I'm going to need to do the same.  The greatest commandment was to walk in love. I don't see that anywhere in your writing style or advice.

Answer:

Let's put your own note to your test. Let me see:

  • Unsolicited advice from someone who gives no credentials.
  • Advice not backed up with citations of a knowledgeable source.
  • Inaccurate charges, since no evidence is given.
  • Mean-spirited, no signs of love.

It looks like your note fails your own tests. There is no reference to any particular error, just a general claim. There is no attempt at showing where Scriptures might have been misapplied. All I see is is an unhappy person, mad that advice is given that she doesn't agree with, and is unable to counter.

"Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you, and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man's sake. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven, for in like manner their fathers did to the prophets" (Luke 6:22-23).

Have a nice day because I'm certainly enjoying mine.
