When God Shows Himself
by Zeke Flores
"The Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh, when I stretch out My hand on Egypt and bring out the sons os Israel from their midsts" (Exodus 7:5).
God makes it clear that what He's about to do isn't random. The plagues aren’t just judgment, they’re revelation. God is showing Egypt, Israel, and even Moses that He’s not a distant idea. He’s the living God who acts, intervenes, and keeps His promises.
Sometimes we forget that God’s work in our lives isn’t only about solving problems. It’s about helping us know Him more deeply. When God stretches out His hand, He’s not just fixing something. He’s revealing something. He’s showing His character, His power, His patience, His justice, and His faithfulness.
Think about the situations in your life that feel overwhelming or confusing. What if part of what God is doing is helping you see Him more clearly? Not just as the God who rescues, but the God who is present, intentional, and personal. Israel didn’t just walk out of Egypt with freedom; they walked out with a deeper understanding of who God is and who He would continue to reveal Himself as. Your challenges may be doing the same thing; God is always revealing Himself, even in the places you’d least expect.
