What is the difference between Pentecostals and Baptists?

Question:

Hi,

I have a question about the differences between the Christian religions. I started going to a Pentecostal church. I love this church. I got baptized in this church, but I moved to a different city so I started to look for a Pentecostal church. I found one near my house but after going to the service I noticed a lot of differences. There is also another church roughly next to my house but it is a Baptist church. I just want to know what is the differences between all three churches. I'm a strong believer in our Christ Jesus, and I have changed my life, but I just want to know what is the correct thing to do.

Answer:

Pentecostals are a highly fractured group. About the only thing the various groups hold in common is a belief that miracles continue today at the hands of their members. Comparatively, Baptists are far more conservative in their beliefs and while there are also a variety of Baptist groups, they are more similar to each other than different. Baptists are known for the strong following of John Calvin's teachings. But none of this really makes a difference. The only thing that is important is how closely a group follows Jesus' teaching. You would find that by picking a church because it appeals to you or because its location is convenient. We Are Simply Christians Without Being Members of Any Denomination, You Can be Too!
