What do you think God is telling me?
Question:
Due to family problems, my preacher recently prayed for me and God spoke through him and let me know that I am an honest person and that if I were to die right now I would stand before the Throne of Jesus because I chose Jesus and that I am a Cedar and Fragrance of a Mrytle Tree. What do you think God is telling me?
Answer:
Since God stated that prophecies would end (I Corinthians 13:8-10), I believe your preacher is making things up to make you feel better. Since it is the product of his imagination, you should ask him what he meant these vague phrases.
But if you want to know God's will for you, pick up your Bible. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work" (II Timothy 3:16-17).
