Is it wrong to link to WVBS or GBN?

Question:

Is it wrong for a church to link to WVBS or GBN on its website? I'm unsure if it's right or wrong, but I'd at least like your thoughts, if you don't mind.

Thanks.

Answers:

World Video Bible School (WVBS) and Gospel Broadcasting Network (GBN) solicit funding from individuals and churches.

"WVBS is organized as a non-profit and is recognized by the United States IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization. This allows contributions to WVBS to be tax deductible for income tax purposes. The school is financed by contributions from churches and individuals" ["About the WVBS Online Bible School"].

"GBN is funded entirely by donations that are given by congregations and members of churches of Christ" ["Support GBN"].

The problem is that churches have no authorization to use an institution to accomplish its work. See Institutionalism: A Virulent Cancer. Links to support such institutions would not be correct. This doesn't mean that while the method of supporting these institutions is incorrect, they could produce products that might be useful in teaching the gospel. Nothing is wrong as long as what is being referred to is correct. After all, Paul referred to Gentile writers and stated that they got a point correct even though Paul probably didn't agree with everything they wrote.
