If someone catches me hurting myself, would God use that against me?
Question:
What happens if I disobey Jesus right now? Like for example, if somebody catches me hurting myself would God use that against me? If somebody caught me hurting myself, would Jesus use that person to stick me under a suicide watch at a hospital?
Answer:
If you thought someone you loved was about to harm himself, would you not seek out help?
"And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise" (Luke 6:31).
Harming yourself is a sin. You don't have a right to do it. "For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it" (Ephesians 5:29). So, someone preventing you from harming yourself is telling you that they love you.
