How are faith and prayer related?

Question:

How are faith and prayer related?

Answer:

Prayer is a form of worship to God where we bring our requests to Him along with our praise and our thanksgivings. But what use would it be to ask God for a favor while at the same time having no confidence that He will give you an answer? It would be much like the young boy to comes to the door and asks, "You don't really want to buy a magazine from me, do you?" "But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways" (James 1:6-8). If we don't believe God can answer our prayers, then our efforts in praying are worthless. "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them" (Mark 11:24).
