Do you preach the true word of God?

Question:

Hope you are ok.

I was looking for a picture to upload to my Facebook when I found the logo of the La Vista church on the Internet. I like it. Please tell me more about this church. If it preaches the true word of God, then I will let it remain on my Facebook.

Answer:

I had to smile at your question, wondering if some church would actually claim to not teach God's word accurately. I am glad you are concerned. John warned, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world" (I John 4:1).

The only proper test is to compare what is taught against what is found in your Bible. What you should find on this site is extensive quotations of the Scriptures to back up each point made. You will find me willing to discuss the Scriptures and their application to life and godliness (II Peter 1:3). A description of the church can be found on our home page. At the moment there are over 7,000 pages of information available for you to read through and see if what is being taught matches what you find in your Bible. Links to new information on this site are posted to the La Vista Church of Christ's Facebook page.

"If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen" (I Peter 4:11).
