Dear Neighbor

Adapted from a flier sent out by the Church of Christ at Appleton, Wisconsin

Are you looking for a more genuine relationship with Jesus? Do you long for a deeper sense of peace and hope in your life? Perhaps the Christians at Elm Grove can help. We don’t claim to be perfect or have all the answers. But we are striving to serve a God who is perfect and all-knowing. If there’s anything we can do to help you get to know Him better, that is why we are here. We are simply a family of Christians striving to follow the Bible in all we do.

We would like to extend a special welcome for you to visit one of our assemblies. It doesn’t matter if you’re single, married, rich, poor, young or old. Whether you've been going to church for years or this is your first time in a church service, we would be thrilled to have you with us. We welcome fussy babies and fidgety children. Whatever your background, we hope this is a place where you will feel loved and be able to develop a stronger relationship with Jesus.

If you visit one of our assemblies, you will not be dazzled by any stage performances or contemporary worship productions. Our goal is not to entertain or impress. We hope that all our visitors leave feeling spiritually nourished, encouraged, and further equipped to serve God each day. Our primary concern is that God is glorified in our worship and that He is pleased with what He sees among us. On this basis, we try to keep our worship simple, orderly, reverent, and heart-felt.

We aim for everything we teach and practice to be based on God's word. We do not want to be part of a "Church of Christ" denomination. We simply want to be a church belonging to Christ, following Christ, and glorifying Christ. Our worship, work, and organization are not based on our own personal ideas or preferences, but on God's will revealed within the Scriptures. We believe that true biblical unity can only come from speaking where the Bible speaks and being silent where the Bible is silent.
If simple New Testament Christianity is something that appeals to you, we hope you will come to visit or contact us soon!
