Is it scriptural for a church to use committees to make decisions for the church?

Good day brother,
I'm a member of the church of Christ. Is it scriptural for congregations of the Lord's church to have committees? I mean committees like evangelism committee, building committee, edification committee, visitation committee, benevolence committee, counseling, and disciplinary committee, etc.

Answer:
In the Bible, churches did not handle problems by establishing committees to look into them. When there was a problem with equal distribution of food, deacons were selected to oversee the daily distributions (Acts 6:1-6).
Evangelism is handled by the preacher(s) working with a congregation. Elders handle the teaching, visitation, counseling, and disciplinary needs of a congregation. Deacons handle the care of the building, purchase of supplies, etc.
Therefore, what you are seeing is a congregation altering the organization of a church from the plan given by the Lord. "And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:11-12).
