Can we worship at home because it is more convenient?

Question:

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Is home worship acceptable on Sunday by a family if they were unable to get to church? Can it continue for convenience?

Answer:

If a family wishes to establish a church in an area that doesn't have a church nearby, that would be fine, but it means more than just having a worship service without having to leave the house. A church's duty is to spread the Gospel. "So that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 3:10). That means getting out, teaching neighbors and inviting them to join the church.

If you are merely wanting to avoid going to worship services, then you are not fulfilling the Lord's command to assemble (Hebrews 10:25; I Corinthians 14:23). See: If I am just not able to get out, can I worship at home?
