Liberty! A Study of Galatians
Throughout the Galatians letter, Paul discusses the problem that was building with false teachers who were trying to convince the Gentiles to live under the Law of Moses. The Galatians were being courted by these false teachers while at the same time being excluded by them. Paul mentioned that there were people in Galatia wanting to be under the Law of Moses and in doing so, they were returning to the bondage of the Law. The Gospel frees people from the bondage of sin and the Law of Moses.
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John: Old Testament or New Testament?
Were the Gospels intended to be Old Testament or New Testament books? The answer seems obvious, but there are some wishing to pervert the Gospels in order to justify their false beliefs.
Paul's Letter to the Romans
The letter to the Romans is considered one of the more difficult letters to understand. In part, it is because Paul tackles some difficult subjects. But greater is the fact that many of the things taught by Paul in this letter are not answers that people generally expect. Romans deals with the righteousness of God and men's response to God's righteousness.
Proverbs: Practical Advice on Life
Practical advice, given to young men, on all aspects of life that will benefit everyone. This study was the result of my belief that Proverbs is not a random collection of wise says. Solomon stated that the purpose of the books is "to understand a proverb and a figure, the words of the wise and their riddles" (Proverbs 1:6). The order of the proverbs is a part of the riddles to be solved. There is a pattern to the placement of the topics, and seeing why one idea follows another is a part of learning the lessons presented.
