The Importance of Cornelius's Conversion

The religious world is filled with misconceptions concerning salvation -- misconceptions that have hindered many people from being saved. The story of the conversion of Cornelius, found in Acts 10 and recounted in Acts 11 and Acts 15, illustrates for us what is important in salvation and how we might be saved as they were. The story of Cornelius is particularly important because the characteristics of Cornelius and the events that happened to him are similar to those the religious world think are important in becoming a Christian, yet throughout the story we find that it is not the unique events that saved Cornelius and his household but the common things available to everyone.
